Annie Sloan Chalk PaintĀ®Ā colors have been inspired by European 18th-century furniture and 20th-century paintwork and have been made bright and rich, bearing in mind that they will be darkened with wax or made paler with the addition of one of the whites from the range. Like all Annie Sloan paints the colors have been mixed in such a way that allows mixing and being lighted a layering without the colors dulling.
Chalk PaintĀ® is a decorative furniture paint specifically designed by Annie Sloan to be easy to use, quick, and reliable.
Chalk PaintĀ® very rarely requires any preparation, such as sanding or priming, and can be used indoors or outside, on just about any surface. Chalk PaintĀ® can be used to paint wood, it can be used to paint metal, it can be used to paint melamine, it can be used to paint flooring, it can be used to dye fabric, and it can even be used to paint glass!
Chalk PaintĀ® is suitable for beginners and for furniture painting professionals alike; itā€™s the fool-proof furniture paint which can be used to create any look you require. From colour-blocked, modern interiors, to pine bedside tables in need of a revamp, or authentic aged rustic effects fit for much-loved heirlooms, Chalk PaintĀ® can solve all your furniture dilemmas. Both Chalk PaintĀ® & Chalk PaintĀ® Wax have been independently tested & certified as Toy Safe according to strict European regulations (BS EN 71-3:2013).
  • Chalk Paint: 1 litreĀ is enough to cover approximatelyĀ 140 square ft.
  • 500ml is enough to cover approximatelyĀ 70 square ft.
  • Please note, Pure may require additional coats to achieve opacity, due to its colourant-free nature.
  • Keep in mind, if youā€™re painting over a dark colour, you may require further coverage to achieve desired opacity.
  • Porous surfaces such as brick may also require additional coats. This should be factored in when considering your quantity.
  • Please be reminded that Chalk Paint requires a protective coat of either Wax or Lacquer, sold separately.
