IOD Gilded Transfer Surface Prep.
IOD Gilded transfers can be applied to many surfaces, depending on how they are prepared. For the best adhesion, IOD recommends sealing painted or porous surfaces with a satin or semi-gloss sealer and allowing it to dry thoroughly prior to applying your Gilded Transfer.
Sealing IOD Gilded Transfer.Once applied, IOD highly recommends sealing with two topcoats of a water based sealer. This will enhance the durability of your project. The final sheen can be toned (more or less shimmer) depending on which protective top coat you use. To preserve the most shimmer, IOD has found that Modern Masters Metallic Paint Collection Master Clear in Satin seems to do a good job for maximum reflectiveness. Two coats works best to eliminate any streaking.
